"I am passionate about creating beautiful and functional spaces and that's something I love to pass on to clients I work with daily. That shared passion is what makes a collaboration great and why I love what I do."
Growing up with parents in the design field and being drug to construction sites as a child, design became a staple in Whittney's everyday life. She prides herself on working seamlessly with clients to achieve a balance of eclectic yet timeless design.
Whittney attended the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida majoring in Illustration in 2004. She then followed her other design passion to Chicago, where she received her degree in Interior Design in 2008.
Whittney then began her career as co-owner of the architecture & interior design firm, MAWR Design, working with her father from 2008, until founding Whittney Parkinson Design in 2016. As a young designer in the field, Whittney designed projects varying from high-end residential to a vast array of multi-million dollar commercial projects around the Midwest. In her free time, Whittney enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband, Austin and daughter, Wren, as well as doing what she does best ... creating.
